Description:

How can cultural leadership and understanding Identity transform international education? In this engaging session, discover how frameworks established in service, resilience, and community can create stronger, more inclusive school environments. Drawing on personal experiences in education, elite sport, and coaching, I will share practical strategies for promoting student wellbeing, leadership, and belonging. Whether you’re a school leader, coach, or educator, this session will provide actionable insights to help you harness cultural identity as a powerful tool for student and community success.

This session will introduce and apply three practical intercultural models:
--The Lewis Model to understand and adapt to different cultural communication styles
--The Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC) to assess and grow cultural competence
--Positionality Mapping to reflect on how your own identity shapes your coaching and leadership approach
