Description:

This workshop will explore how coaching conversations in the classroom can be a powerful tool to nurture student agency and support the development of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies as outlined by the CASEL framework. Participants will learn how to use coaching language to guide students in self-reflection, goal-setting, and problem-solving. Educators will be introduced to the CLARITY goal-setting framework, that supports self-management and student ownership of learning.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand how coaching fosters the SEL competencies self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making.
- Learn how to integrate reflective and open-ended questioning into classroom conversations.
- Experience how coaching promotes empathy, independence, and resilience through a live coaching demonstration..
- Take away practical strategies and a coaching script that can be applied immediately to empower students through structured coaching dialogues.

This session equips educators with transformative tools to embed SEL into everyday learning and build confident, reflective, and future-ready learners.
