Sarita Somaya

As the Primary EAL Coordinator at Dover Court International School, I have dedicated over a decade to fostering multilingual learning environments that celebrate linguistic diversity. My teaching career spans more than 20 years across Singapore and India, encompassing early years, primary, and specialised EAL education. I am deeply passionate about multilingual education and continuously enhance my practice through professional development, including specialised courses and webinars focused on language acquisition and inclusive pedagogies. My approach combines research-based strategies with a commitment to honouring each student's cultural and linguistic heritage. Outside the classroom, I enjoy baking, swimming and creating memories with my family through movie nights, board game competitions and exploring different countries—experiences that enrich my global perspective as an educator.
