Dylan Harper-Faith (he/they)

PE Teacher & Progress Leader

Dover Court International School

Dylan (he/they) is a trans-non-binary educator who has been teaching for 16 years, 11 of those internationally across Asia (Abu Dhabi, Thailand, China, Singapore). Dylan specialises in pastoral care, having been in middle leadership roles since 2013, from Head of Year and Key Stage Lead to Boarding House Coordinator (a name they had to co-create with the school due to the gendered titles still used across the world, of boarding housemistress and housemaster not aligning with their gender identity). Dylan has coached football to girls and women in remote areas all over the world through Equal Playing Field and holds 4 Guinness World Records gained in large scale football events to support the recognition and activism of gender equality in football (equal play, equal opportunities, equal respect). Their poetry (and them) are featured in a documentary that follows the "Equal Playing Field" team through Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to The Dead Sea, Jordan as they aim to play the highest and lowest football games in the world within 9 months, in time for the Women's Asian Cup in Jordan, a World Cup qualifying event. Despite all of his incredible experiences, his passion for educating others in the need for understanding and kindness and the simple do's and don't's when it comes to arguably one of the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in the world right now, is why they wish to stand here before you today.
