Description:

AI is reshaping the educational world, and the reality is our students are already engaging with it in various ways, whether we explicitly guide them or not. This workshop is designed to explore AI's potential not as a challenge, but as a powerful thought partner for our high school students.

In this practical workshop, we'll focus on how educators can empower and guide students to confidently and ethically use AI as a tool for research, complex problem-solving, and developing the critical skills they'll need for a future where AI fluency is increasingly important. We'll explore strategies for helping students understand when, why, and how to use AI effectively and responsibly, fostering their critical thinking and digital citizenship.

This session offers practical strategies and a refreshed, optimistic perspective on AI's role in education. It will also provide the opportunity to consider how we model thoughtful and ethical AI integration in our own professional approach.
